The Undertaker’s career started all the way back in 1984. He appeared in World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) event, which he unfortunately lost. However, he kept wrestling for a few more years under the name “Mean Mark”, and was later signed to WWF (World Wrestling Federation). WWF later became WWE we know today, making The Undertaker one of the longest ring performers, and just one of the greatest wrestlers of all time in general.

Like we already mentioned, his whole gimmick was horror themed, trying to scare his opponents in a flash to gain an advantage. However, his character was reinvented as a biker, which isn’t strange at all considering he’s a true motorbike lover. The Undertaker went back to his signature mortician gimmick four years later. He was also known as Kane the Undertaker too, which comes from a storyline of his half-brother WWE wrestler Kane, whom he teamed up but also fought against too. Together, they were known as Brothers of Destruction.

The Undertaker’s career was called Return of the Deadman, and that period lasted until 2007. He returned and distracted his half-brother Kane, thus leading him to lose a fight. The Undertaker teamed up with Paul Bearer at that time and was known to have a feud against current World Champion, John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL). He lost against him a few times, sometimes by disqualification or by other wrestlers interfering. Randy Orton also challenged The Undertaker for WrestleMania 21, but even with the help of his father, he lost.

This marked another win streak for The Undertaker, and it climbed to the 13-0 Wrestlemania record. The next few years were marked with Kane attacking him, and ultimately beating him because he couldn’t fight back because of a torn rotator cuff. In 2011 promotional videos started, showing The Undertaker with a new look, which led to a Wrestlemania 27 match against Triple H, resulting in The Deadman winning by submission, although he had to be carried in stretchers – take a look at his entrance below. But did you know he confronted Brock Lesnar in 2014 and accepted his challenge for Wrestlemania 30? Unfortunately, it did not end good for The Undertaker, as he lost his win streak and had to be treated for a severe concussion after 25 minutes.

This past year, in 2017, The Undertaker returned to Raw and announced he’ll participate in the Royal Rumble. He also confronted Brock Lesnar and Goldberg, and even though he managed to eliminate quite a few wrestlers, ultimately he lost against Roman Reigns. Another appearance by The Deadman happened recently, on January 22, 2018, in a Raw 25 Years episode, and the first appearance after his loss to Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 33, an event he usually ruled. Most recently, John Cena challenged him to a fight on Wrestlemania 34, and we’ll see how it goes very soon.
