Emma Watson

Emma Watson

Emma Watson was born in Paris, France, but started her education in Oxford, England. That really helped her achieve tremendous success, as J.K. Rowling had a condition – only British members were to be cast in Harry Potter. And that’s exactly where it all started for Emma Watson, as we all got to know her as a smart know-it-all, Hermione Granger. When the franchise was over, Emma moved on to more projects and proven she can do it all. She has 23 awards under her belt up until now, and there are more to come, that’s for sure.

Her career started very early, as she was sure she’ll be an actress since she was about 6 years old. In 1999, on a casting for the first movie in Harry Potter movie series – Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001), Emma impressed everyone. J.K. Rowling was impressed by the other two cast members, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, as well. The first film broke all opening-day sales and was the highest grossing movie that year. It continued for 10 more years, and brought Emma world-wide recognition, and not only from the fans of the books but by people of all ages.

When it was all over, Emma Watson continued to show her brilliance and good looks in The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012), and her rebellious spirit in The Bling Ring (2013). An interesting movie came out in 2013, called This Is The End. She had a chance to play in a great comedy alongside James Franco, Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen and others. Emma later took part in The Colony and Regression, both appearing in 2015. Most recently, she has taken part as Belle in Beauty and the Beast (2017), so take a look how she practiced for a dance scene.

Emma Watson doesn’t do a ton of movies a year like some other actors, so the ones we get from her are all the more meaningful. Like we already mentioned, she was Belle in Beauty in the Beast this last year, but also played Mae in The Circle the same year. It’s about a woman (Emma) that lands a dream job in a tech company, but things aren’t as they seem. They’re dangerous enough to affect the future of mankind, even! It’s worth a watch, so be sure to check it out after reading some interesting Emma Watson facts below.
